Broadway Across Canada’s amazing lineup for the 2018/2019 season of live entertainment!

Attention Vancouver theatre queens: this is not a drill. Repeat: THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Sit down, fasten your seatbelts, grab your playbills, and prepare yourselves for, perhaps, the most extraordinary year of live theatre and entertainment to ever hit the west coast. Pulling out all the stops for the 20th Anniversary season, Broadway Across Canada is serving up a delicious season of fabulous theatrical productions set to hit the Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver over the next year.

Broadway Across Canada’s delicious 2018-2019 season announced

The 2018 season will start with the North American tour of Beautiful-The Carole King Musical. Beautiful-The Carol King Musical features a story about the life and music of legendary performer Carole King. Featuring well-known songs like “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “I Feel the Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” “You’ve Got a Friend”, and the title track, “Beautiful”, Beautiful is an award-winning show coming from a successful run on Broadway. November 13-18, 2018

2019 will start with a magical bang. The Illusionists-Live from Broadway, will spend 5 days at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from January 15-20, 2019. The Illusionists is a magical extravaganza featuring five of the world’s best illusionists. Be prepared to awed and amazed as mind-bending feats are performed before your eyes in this mix of magic, show, and wonder.

Next, Canada’s own homegrown musical that is shattering box office records as one of the most successful shows in Broadway history, Come From Away, will have a limited engagement at the Queen Elizabeth. The surprise smash and true story hit about the 7,000+ passengers stranded in a small Newfoundland town directly following the events of September 11, 2001, Come From Away has earned numerous awards, including Best Musical, and the Tony for Best Directory. March 5-10, 2019.

It was previously announced by Broadway Across Canada that Les Miserables will also have a stint at the Queen Elizabeth. From July 10-15, 2018, the musical phenomenon that is Les Miserables will thrill Vancouver Audiences with a newly redeveloped sets inspired from paintings by original author Victor Hugo. A run of Best Musical Tony Award winner Book of Mormon will also happen September 25-30th, 2018. But a new announcement may rock you to your theatre core: Broadway Across Canada just released that multiple Tony Award winning and Grammy nominated new musical Dear Evan Hanson will be playing sometime in the 2019/2020 BAC season. Season pass holders will have first dibs on getting tickets to this smash hit.
