The event kicked off on Wednesday with a reception at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel to welcome guests and serve as the official starting point for the six action-packed days of events. Patrons were there to meet and greet and gear up for the many events on hand as part of the festivities.

The collaboration honored the creation of Gilbert Baker’s iconic rainbow flag for the gay community and the event welcomed Judge Alpesh Kantilal Patel, PhD as a special guest. Produced in collaboration with Hilton Wolman Events, ‘Heat’ was not just a space for dancing the night away, but with celebrating diversity and connecting with the LGBT community. If that was not enough, then international DJs Alex Acosta and Oscar Velazquez invited everyone into Toy Factory to celebrate the inner child in all of us in a production produced by Masterbeat.
