Raspberries are in peak-season right now – it’s time to mix up this amazing summertime martini. You can feel the true depth of this martini with the spectacular fresh raspberry flavour with hints of orange tucked away quietly in the background. The raspberry syrup really makes this drink.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Raspberry Pure
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz Cranberry Juice
- Fresh Lime
Raspberry Pure: In a large pot, bring to full boil two cups of granulated sugar and four cups of fresh raspberries. Allow it to cook at a full rolling boil for two full minutes. Remove from heat. Strain through a food mill or fine mesh strainer, removing all the seeds and pulp so only the pure raspberry syrup remains. Raspberry syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to one week.
In a martini shaker filled with ice pour in vodka, raspberry pure, cointreau, and cranberry juice. Squeeze in fresh lime juice. Shake. Pour into a sugar-rimmed martini glass. Garnish with a slice of fresh lime.
