Born and raised in rural Ontario, Mark has enjoyed singing and performing since he was a young child. As an adult, Mark’s life transformed after a dramatic weight-loss through change of diet and exercise. He channeled his new found body into modeling and acting.
Mark describes the challenges and obstacles he had to overcome as he transitioned into his singing career.
“Changing from being ‘known’ as a model into being a credible singer/songwriter, in the beginning no one took me seriously,” said Mark.
It is Mark’s deep love and passion for music that inspired the recent change to singing.
“I love making music, I love singing, and I LOVE to perform!” exclaimed Mark. “My music is a blend of pop/electro/dance with a little 80’s vibe thrown in. I think what makes me different is my eclectic style, hot beats, and fun yet interesting lyrics!”
With the recent release of his debut album, The Life that I Designed, Mark has accomplished his first goal as a music artist.
“I think people thought I was crazy when I decided to take a step back from modeling and release a record,” said Mark. “A lot of people told me it would never happen, and even if it did, it would flop. But I did it anyways and I an so proud of that!”
“I have been very lucky to work as a model, and actor and now a singer, most people just dream of these things and I get to live it everyday,” Mark said. “It’s been a lot of hard work, but it’s so worth it!”
Mark plans to continue working as an actor and model in addition to his singing career.
“I intend on taking this record all the way to the top,” said Mark. “I have also been writing two books and would love to have a clothing line and maybe even my own fragrance one day! There is so much I want to do and I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface!”
