The TK10K,  Canada’s second largest 10km race, held in Victoria, BC on April 29, 2012, has just announced they will be providing live-feed timing services through Race Day Timing. This will be the first time the new service will be used in a race in British Columbia, where runners can have their time and placing transmitted live to their Facebook page during the race!

Timing mats will be placed at the 5km, 8km and finish lines.

“When runners or walkers go over the mats their time and place will automatically be transmitted to their Facebook page,” said Mark Nelson, Owner, Race Day Timing. “This enables family and friends to track where you are on the course.”

Participants of the TC10K can sign-up for the free service two weeks prior to the race. The service has been using on marathon courses in Singapore, New York and Chicago.

Registrations are still being accepted to participate in the 2012 TC10K.
