The world’s first and oldest pride parade, LA Pride, smashed attendance records as over 400,000 people lined the streets of West Hollywood on Sunday, June 9, for the annual event.
The colourful parade included local dignitaries and politicians, not-for-profit organizations, celebrities, sports groups, entertainers and support from large corporations.
“We are thrilled that this year LA Pride exceeded our wildest imaginations in terms of enthusiasm, new features, corporate sponsorships and attendees,” said Rodney Scott, Board President of Christopher Street West.
The City of West Hollywood was buzzing with energy the entire day as people celebrated for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered rights and freedoms.
Equal rights and same-sex marriage was a common theme throughout the parade.
