It’s been a fabulous summer for Deborah Cox, after gracing the stage for the second time this summer to entertain thousands of shirtless fans at a gay pride event. This past Sunday, August 4, Cox performed at the Vancouver Pride Festival at Sunset Beach in English Bay.
Just five weeks earlier, Cox performed at New York Pride, one of North America’s largest pride festivals, opening for Cher at the Pier Dance, in front of 4,000 screaming fans.
Being from Ontario, Canada, Cox explained at Vancouver Pride that she had always wished her parents had moved to Vancouver, citing she how much she loved the city, mountains, ocean and trees.
Wrapping up Vancouver Pride weekend, Deborah Cox was the headline performer for the free afternoon concert, which followed the annual Vancouver Pride parade. During her 15 minute set, the Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum selling singer performed a number of her hit R&B songs, including her biggest song with the gay audience, Beautiful U R.
