San Diego, California

If you love sunny vacations, it’s time to check out sunny San Diego in southern California. The year-round vacation destination is popular with the areas near perfect weather each and every day.

The Lafayette Hotel and Swim Club

Start off by booking accommodations at the Lafayette Hotel. This heritage property pays tribute to its history throughout, with photos and stories throughout. The hotel was built at a time when rooms were very large. The spacious rooms are decorated in a contemporary theme and have very cool modern, but antique-looking bathrooms.

The pool at the Layfatte Hotel in San Diego, California

Originally home to a swim club, today the Lafayette is well-known for weekend pool parties. If you’re staying at the hotel, the pool is included, and drop-in day passes are available for purchase for non-guests who want to join in. Lounge poolside and soak up the sun, or grab a cocktail from the bar and hang out with friends in the pool. The DJ throws down hot beats all afternoon.

An amazing fleet of US Navy ships are anchored in San Diego

Head down to the San Diego marina and jump aboard a two-hour Flagship harbour tour. The first hour is a tour of the north harbour, which includes sites of the US Air Force helicopter and aircraft, tall ships, and other military related items. On the way back there are amazing views of the San Diego skyline. The second hour is a south tour, which passes by dozens of US Navy ships, from battle to medical ships.

Belboa Park in San Diego

Sun seakers will love an afternoon in Belboa Park. The park was originally created for the World’s Fair and has been preserved by the community to become a popular location for visitors and locals. Amidst the acres of perfectly manicured green grass, walking and running trails, and gardens, are a vast collection of museums. From natural history to art, there are over a dozen museums to explore.

The entire city is very relaxed and has a tourist-town feel. It’s easy to get around too. So grab your flip flops, sun screen and book a trip to San Diego! You’ll love it.
