Beer connoisseurs rejoice! The BC Beer Festival is back in Vancouver on Saturday, October 19, celebrating the very best in craft brewing. The highlight of the event is the consumer tasting, featuring the craft beer festival and the BC Beer Awards ceremony.
Craft brewers from across British Columbia are known for innovation and creativity, which is honoured as part of the BC Beer Awards, which celebrate excellence in hand-crafted beers based on their individual merits. In 2012, over 400 entries were submitted from 35 different microbreweries in 12 categories.
New for 2013, VIP packages are being offered, which includes a 90-minute guided tour, priority admission, tasting glasses, tasting guidebook, and tokens for beer samples during the festival. Packages start at $400 plus tax for up to six guests.
The events take place at the Croatian Cultural Centre located at 3250 Commercial Drive, from 1-6pm. Tickets, starting at $35 plus tax, are available online now.
