Canadian Christmas ToddyIt’s not uncommon to get sick over the holidays, because there are so many different parties and events to be at, festivities to partake in, holiday shopping to be completed, and family gatherings. Take a night out over the Christmas holiday’s to relax with a traditional Canadian Christmas Toddy, especially if you feel a bit of a cold coming on.

In How to Drink, Victoria Moore describes a Toddy as “the vitamin C for health, the honey to soothe, the alcohol to numb”

  • 1 oz Alberta Premium Rye Whisky
  • ½ oz Liquid Honey
  • Fresh Slice of Lemon
  • Cinnamon Stick

Pour whisky, honey and slice of lemon into a stemmed coffee glass. Pour in 2 oz of hot water. Stir with cinnamon stick until the honey is dissolved. Leave cinnamon stick in the glass and serve.
