World Pride 2014 is already huge news, as the first pride festival of its kind in North America. What’s making it even bigger is that NOH8 has announced that they will be doing a photoshoot during World Pride.

On June 28th, celebrity photographer, Adam Bouska and the NOH8 crew will be set up in Allan Gardens Park, from 12-3. You don’t need to RSVP to take part in the photo shoot; you do need to wear white, and bring cash. Photos are $45 for a solo shot, and $30 per person for couples and groups. The price includes digital retouching and one digital photo.

This is the second time that NOH8 has come to Canada, the first time they visited Vancouver in 2012.

NOH8 began after Proposition 8 passed in California, kicking off that state’s battle to settle its position on marriage equality permanently. If you care about marriage equality, you need to be at the Toronto photoshoot. What better way to celebrate pride than spending some quality time with friends and donating a few dollars to a charity that promotes the cause of marriage equality and anti-discrimination around the world?

NOH8 events tend to be well attended, and you do need to be there when they call your model number to get your picture taken. The line moves quickly, though, and if you’re in line by 3pm, they will make every effort to make sure you get to participate. To date, no one’s been turned away.
