Chris HarderChris Harder is no newcomer to looking hot, hot, hot! Although he began in the porn industry only a year ago, Chris was a burlesque dancer long before doing porn. He says being a porn “star” means looking the role.

“I tend to bottom a lot, so if I’m going to do a shoot there are some specific procedures to do,” Chris said. “Man-scapes, tanning, haircut. That’s part of your calling card. That’s part of your job.”

Who doesn’t want to look like a porn star? According to Go-Go, the process takes consistent work.

“Good sleep is important, and I have a facemask a few nights before a scene. I’m consistent in workouts and what I eat. I focus on reducing my stress,” Chris said.

But daily preparation for a job you only have to go to once in a while doesn’t always pay off. Imagine what can happen the day of a shoot.

“You can prepare so much, and then get a phone call that your partner has a cold sore or isn’t showing up,” Chris said. “Shit happens.”

Due to a strict diet and the need to look perfect for a shoot, workdays can be miserable, Chris says.

“The day of a shoot, I prefer not to eat. I fast,” Chris said. “It can be kind of miserable, but it’s worth it.”

Chris also describes the events that happen before and after a scene.

“I like to get to know my scene partner a little bit before the scene starts,” Chris said. “I like the sex to be as fresh as possible.”

Cockyboys, the company Chris works for, is known to pair its models appropriately to prevent personality conflicts or scene partners who aren’t attracted to each other.

“Once it’s been established what kind of men I’m into and we’ve checked out the model, I go into it with a pretty sure feeling,” Chris said.

However, if there’s not a mental or emotional click between the models during a shoot, the scene could be spoiled.

“It’s apparent when two guys are fucking and not enjoying themselves. I want my partner to enjoy me and my body. We’re going to be doing it for 5 hours, so we might as well enjoy each other and have a good time,” Chris said.

Often times while watching porn, it’s hard not to notice the lighting changes or quiet whispers from the cameramen. Chris says if you’re uncomfortable with having sex in front of other people, porn might not be for you.

“At Cockyboys, there’s a max of two or three other people in the room,” Chris said. “I’ve worked with most of the guys now several times. It’s like a porn family. I have really good friends. I trust them. They trust me. It’s not awkward.”

Possibly the most important question to ask yourself before considering porn is whether or not you’d enjoy it.

“I really enjoy it,” Chris said. “If I didn’t enjoy being a sex worker and voyeurism, then I wouldn’t get involved in it. “
