The Trews Rise in the Wake concert tourAfter a summer packed with concerts and performances, Canada’s top touring band, The Trews, announce the Rise in the Wake cross-Canada tour in support of their latest self-titled studio album.

The fall/winter tour of the gold-selling Canadian rock band will kick off October 18 at Montreal’s Petit Campus and will wrap up on New Years Eve in their home province at Casino Nova Scotia.

Stops along the tour will range from traditional rock venues like the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC on November 29, to more intimate spaces in soft-seat theatres. The smaller venue performances will be both acoustic and electric sets, while the larger venues will be straight up electric sound.

“I honestly believe this latest record is our strongest ever for live material,” offers John-Angus MacDonald. “These are solid, well-built songs we feel confident playing. And that’s been a real thrill for us. Even putting these songs next to older tracks revives our whole catalogue. We look forward to carrying that energy on until New Years Eve.”

After the release of their latest album, The Trews now have 15 Top 10 radio hits including What’s Fair is Fair, which reached the #2 spot on Active Rock radio.

The Trews have already performed over 1,000 shows throughout their career and the 28-city Rise in the Wake tour will push them even further. Additional show dates are expected to be released.

Tickets for The Trews Rise in the Wake tour are available through Live Nation and start at $29.50 inc GST (plus FMF and services charges).
