The Zombie CocktailHappy Halloween! It’s time to get you drink on with The Zombie cocktail; a delicious rum drink mixed with tropical fruit flavours. It was invented by Donn Beach, of Hollywood’s Don the Beachcomber restaurants, in the late 1930’s. This high-alcohol content vintage drink is called The Zombie Cocktail because that’s what it can turn its drinker into. It became a popular cocktail after being showcased at the 1939 New York World’s Fair.

  • 1 ½ oz Dark Rum
  • 1 ½ oz Golden Rum
  • 1 oz Demerara Rum
  • ¾ oz Lime Juice
  • ½ of Falernum
  • 6 Drops Absinthe
  • Dash Bitters
  • 1 tsp Grenadine

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 20 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with a sprig of mint.
