What started out as a brave outward movement of pride back in 1978 has turned into the most fabulous, outlandish and fun demonstration of solidarity and pride of the Vancouver year, of course we are talking about Vancouver Pride.
Vancouver pride, which is expected to gather record crowds in 2016, is for many, the highlight of the gay calender. With so many parties and events to choose from it can be overwhelming to just decide where to begin, so let us make it easy for you.
Ruff Pride will be back in 2016 for the fifth year running, and it is absolutely the Vancouver pride kick off party that you will not want to miss. Record attendance is expected this year, yet again, with early advance ticket sales already on par with those of 2015.
Produced by MN events, it is by far the largest and most outrageous kick off event of the Vancouver Pride weekend. With almost 900 attendees in 2015 and more expected in 2016, it may well, in merely five years, become the largest Vancouver Pride party of the entire weekend.
The 5th annual RUFF Pride Vancouver will take place in three rooms, with two dance floors, four spectacular DJs and ten gorgeous men of RUFF. Make sure to mark your calendar with this phenomenal night, presented with incredible visuals from Steamworks Baths and RodRozen Designs, music upstairs from Mumbles & Karsten Sollors (Chicago), and downstairs from Jay Douglas and Brian Maier (San Fransisco).
As if this wasn’t enough, the night will also see performances from 2016’s Mr RUFF; Shane, and 2015’s Mr Ruff; Colin, as well as Aaron, Boy Spence, Stephen and Addison. Making their RUFF debut, for the first time we will be welcoming Tim, Chris, Daniel and Bolt.
Expect raunchy and steamy performances from Shane & Chris and Tim & Stephen and much, much more. It is sure to be a night to be remembered and the most spectacular way to kick off Vancouver pride 2016.
RUFF Pride will take place at The PINT from 9pm – 3am, and will be followed by RUFFplay at Steamworks baths, just around the corner from the PINT where you can get a $5 discount on entry with your wristband.
Tickets are available for $30 until the 28th July (inclusively) or on the day for $35; You can buy tickets online or at Top Drawers (Howe Street).
