Perfect piña coladaWho doesn’t like a good piña colada during the summer? It’s delicious, hardly taste likes alcohol, and is completely refreshing on a hot, sunshiny day.

If you’re new to mixology, hosting your first summer party or barbecue, or just want to start exploring bartending, it’s key to know all the classic cocktails – mojito, old fashioned, margarita, etc. The piña colada, though, is a core summer classic cocktail. Making a piña colada from scratch is fast and easy, plus making them fresh will make them taste way better than any pre-packaged mix.

A hint of tropical mystic makes indulgers of this yummy fruity cocktail think of beach time, relaxing in a hammock, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. The coconut and pineapple whisk you away to an island paradise with every sip. Don’t forget to add the paper umbrella!

  • 3 oz pineapple juice,
  • 1 oz white rum,
  • 1 oz coconut cream

Mix the pineapple juice, coconut cream, and white rum in a blender or shaker with crushed ice until smooth. Pour into chilled glass, garnish with a maraschino cherry and paper umbrella.
