In a world full of a lot of conservative media, couldn’t we all use more laughs? And what is funnier than gay sex, if you think about it? Well, Charlie David and Border2Border took the combination of both ideas and ran with it. A new show aims to make light of the hilarity of gay porn by having a bunch of comedians watch, laugh, mock, and finally say what we all want to about gay porn: that it is pretty funny. Border2Border Entertainment announces the release of their new miniseries Popporn

Popporn: Gay sex has never been funnier!

Popporn is a new half-hour miniseries where comedians roast gay porn scenes. What’s weird, what’s strange, what’s hilarious, what’s gross, what’s surprising, what’s enticing—nothing is off limits for the comedians to rip on. From costumes to lighting, weird props to strange set-ups, to horrible acting and even worse writing. Nothing escapes their comedic wrath of shaming porn scenes for the cheaply produced realities that they are.

Created for television and digital platforms, Popporn the series, based out of Toronto, Canada, uses pop art motion graphics and emoticons such as eggplants and peaches to cover any X-rated material making it broadcast friendly for a late-night slot. Not exactly kid friendly, but nothing X-rated, Popporn is adult friendly and created to make you laugh at the ridiculousness of pornography.

OutTV Canada, Outfilm Poland, and Dekkoo have licensed the first season of 6 half-hour episodes of Popporn. A half-dozen episodes of comedians ripping into silly porn scenes in hilarious new skits. The series premiered on OutTV Canada and their digital platform OutTV Go on Friday, June 29th, 2017.

Directed and developed by Charlie David, the show was literally conceived while David was watching porn and was unable to focus due to the total absurdity of some of the visuals going on during the scene. Thus, the idea was born wanting to bring comedians to roast gay porn and make light of the nuances that come with typical gay porn scenes viewing.

Have a laugh with Popporn as they say aloud all the comments we’ve wanted to make about porn all these years.

Popporn stars comedians Andrew Cheng, Conchita, Dwayne Wilson, Erin Burley, Lucy the Slut from Avenue Q, Rebecca Friesen, Ted Morris, and Tommy Marshall. Produced by Border2Border entertainment, Popporn is now available for rental on select digital platforms such as Amazon, YouTube, and Vimeo.
