LA Pride Shakes It Up in 2017

2017 was year in which the #metoo movement made headlines and rocked the entertainment industry with allegations of abuse and misuse of women at the hands of their male counterparts. Gender inequality and equal pay/compensation has also come to the forefront of this movement. In response, Los Angeles Pride decided to dedicate the Pride festival to the ladies, with the theme of LA Pride Women Empowerment. Using the hashtag #justbe, 2018’s LA gay pride will feature only female performers in celebration of the extraordinary contributions of women in entertainment.

The LA Pride 2018 lineup will feature women from every ethnicity, race, and sexuality—a massive break from the often overwhelmingly male-driven 2018 festival lineups around the continent.
