You gotta hand it to gay men— kweens can take any situation and turn it into a party, whether drugs are involved or not. However, one troubling, rampant feature appearing in gay culture is the use of injection drugs during intercourse. It’s called slamming.

Despite the warnings or major health issues or even death, gay men use injection drugs during sex as an enhancement. Perhaps the worst of habit currently in gay culture is the act of slamming drugs in order to obtain an instantaneous high. Here’s what you need to know about the very un-condoned by Homoculture behavior of drug slamming.

Stop slamming in its tracks

Slamming art is the highly unsexy, use of illicit drugs to elongate and enhance sexual experiences. Whether it be with crystal meth or Tina, ephedrine, GHB, MDNA or Molly, cocaine, heroin, or other illegal drugs, the practice of incorporating narcotics into sex play in order to lose inhibitions or to increase sexual stimulation isn’t a new practice. Experts across the globe are urging gay men to discontinue the practice of slamming due to an alarming rate of increased health issues.

The increased rise of the practice of slamming goes virtually hand in hand with an increase of sexually transmitted illnesses, such as HIV, Syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, hepatitis, and HPV. Heart failure, heart attack, decreased blood pressure, and even death can occur as a result of this practice, due to slamming.

Experts are noting a meteoric rise in the amount of gay men engaged in the practice of slamming because of the intense high it gives them during sex. Often seen at orgies and sex parties, slamming is making its way into the average gay man’s home, where the practice is performed in a more controlled environment, though with the same consequences and risks of spreading STDs and potential health failure. Besides, who wants those ugly tracks marks, anyway?

Instead of chasing high after high and always involving some kind of intoxicating ingredient to sex, gay men need to wake up to this epidemic and stop slamming, drinking, and drug use to enhance sex in its tracks. Even the use of alcohol, poppers, marijuana, hash, and more lowers inhibitions and makes it more likely you are to make poor decisions regarding your life and health. Gay men need go back to the days of having completely sober sex, even if just to remember how great it can feel without anything but a man in your embrace.

HomoCulture does not endorse the use of drugs or the practice of slamming. If you have questions about the use of drugs and the risks or impacts on your body, or have questions about sexual health, talk to your doctor. This article is for informative purposes only.
