It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, and another Matinee Las Vegas Festival has passed. The greatest party all year proved to be a great time at this annual gay weekend event. Presented by Justin David, Paul Nichholls, and Jake Resnicow, Matinee Las Vegas Festival 2018 is a Memorial Day weekend worth remembering!
Hosted at Serene Resort in Las Vegas, and partnering with the Hard Rock Hotel, Matinee Las Vegas Festival is an adult gay playground for anyone looking for amazing electronic dance music and a good time. Stages, water parks, bars, and pools make it an extraordinary event for the gays looking to start their summer with a bang.
Matinee Las Vegas Festival started on Friday night with the official PerVert Party. This main event under the Vegas stars kicked off the long Memorial Day weekend with amazing music served up by Tom Stephan. Partiers fiesta-ed late into the night at Vanity at the Hard Rock, as attendees geared up for what would be a fabulous 4 days.
Saturday morning started bright and early at 11am with the PUMP party at the Serene Hotel pool. With music spun by DJ Dan Slater, party goers soaked up the sun and danced the day away. Saturday night was the main event party Waterpark. With EDM DJ sets by Taito Tikaro and Danny Verde, this nighttime water park at Cowabunga Bay let revelers dance, swim, and ride wet rides while taking in the sights and until midnight of this sold out event. Saturday’s late-night event, Circuit, was a sparsely attended event, at the Vanity Hard Rock, that featured a DJ set by Phil Romano until 6 in the morning.
Sunday, the day started with the JOY Party at noon, hosted at the Serene Hotel Pool. Sickening DJ sets by GSP and Dani Brasil and plenty of poolside fun was had by all. Sunday night saw the return of the much anticipated La Leche party. This main event featured sets by DJ Paulo and Nacho Chapado at the Hard Rock Live that were off the chain! 5 am came much too quickly for everyone at this much-loved party. Of course, a Matinee Las Vegas Festival weekend wouldn’t be complete without a set by master DJ Niña Flowers who spayed the Action After Hours at Piranha Nightclub.
As many attendees headed home, Monday night’s closing fiesta, the Sunset Tea, was a free party held again at Piranha Nightclub. DJ Dawna Montell spun music until 2 am when the last of the partiers finally headed back to their hotels.
Matinee Las Vegas Festival was and is always an exceptionally fun time to be had and is a great way to kick off the summer.
