Hello! Do you believe? Tomorrow is a Latter Day and the return of one of the greatest shows in Broadway history for a limited engagement means the bells will be ringing! Back by popular demand and without further ado, The Book of Mormonwill have a 2018 cameo engagement at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. So, Man Up, Turn (the TV) It Off, and head Two By Two for the show critics called it “the best musical of the century!”: The Book of Mormon.
After a stellar sold-out run in 2016, The Book of Mormon is back as a part of Broadway Across Canada’s 2018-2019 season of extraordinary live theatre and entertainment. A featured run in Vancouver at the Queen Elizabeth will be preceded by a small run in Edmonton and Calgary, as well. Vancouver performances of The Book of Mormonstart September 25thand run through until September 30th, 2018.
From the team that brought you some of the funniest entertainment of the 21stcentury, nine time Tony Award-winner The Book of Mormon was written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Parkfame, with music written by the Academy Award winning musical writer of Frozenand Tony Award winning writer of Avenue Q: the only living double EGOT winner, Robert Lopez. With choreography by Monty Python’sSpamalotand The Drowsy Chaperonechoreographer Casey Nicholaw and direction by Trey Parker and Nicholaw, Book of Mormon is one production not to be missed.
Winner of nine Tony Awards, The Book of Mormon took home trophies for Best Musical, Best Score (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Book (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Direction (Casey Nicholaw, Trey Parker), Best Featured Actress (Nikki M. James), Best Orchestrations (Larry Hochman, Stephen Oremus), Best Lighting Design (Brian MacDevitt), Best Sound Design (Brian Ronan) and Best Scenic Design (Scott Pask). The 2011 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album was also captured by The Book of Mormon .
