With Palm Springs pride being on a month away, it’s about time you start making plans to head to the deserts of Southern California. The region has a long history of being a gay Mecca and escape for gay men from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. It’s more than 325 days of annual sunshine welcomes millions of tourists from around the world. No wonder the area plays host to numerous festivals including Coachella, Stage Coach, and of course, Palm Springs Pride.
Palm Springs Pride 2018 festival will be held November 3 & 4 in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Admission is free and open to all ages. The festival is open on Saturday from 11am – 10pm and then on Sunday from noon to 7pm. With the theme Youth Power for Change this year’s message is about enabling younger people to have the support and help they need to succeed.
The annual Palm Springs Pride parade will be held 10am – noon down Palm Canyon Drive in downtown. Admission is also free to the parade. Watch and revel as the desert gets heated up with rainbow flags, floats, costumes, cars, dancers, drag queens, performers and more.
