If you don’t pay attention to your home décor, you probably won’t have more than two people in the room. This brings us to the conclusion that, if you want Bradley Cooper there, you need to pay attention to the way your home looks. However, this is not only important because of Mr Cooper – having a well-maintained and nice home is an imperative in this day and age, especially if you’re gay (hey, we need to meet the expectations!). Now, if you’re single, it means that you need twice the effort and money to make your apartment or house cozy and fashionable, but this doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.

Show who you are

The biggest mistake many people make is not decorating their home in order to show who they are. Impersonally decorated spaces are always very lame, so if you really want to make your home a visual representation of yourself is to accessorize it with all the thing that you love. Of course, when we’re talking about accessorizing, we’re talking about accessorizing it with style. If you love Harry Potter, for example, and you want to show it – why not? Find certain HP prints that you love, have them printed out, frame them and put them on the wall. There’s nothing more interesting than walking into a living space that’s filled with someone’s interests. Moreover, this can be a great conversation starter next time you invite a guy over.

Stay up-to-date

Contrary to popular belief, gay guys love technology. This is why you should pay attention to the gadgets that you have in your home. Having, for example, a great electrical blanket and LED lights around the house is always interesting for a cozy winter movie night with your loved loves. Make sure to get some popular, high-quality electrical goods and show them off. You can also decide to make your home smart by installing software that will let you handle the temperature of the room and the locks from your iPhone – this is very helpful and, frankly, can be quite a turn on.

Choose the best pieces

In order to live up to the expectations, you simply have to follow the latest fashion, and as far as home décor is concerned, the most popular fashion trend is minimalism. Now, this doesn’t mean that you need to have white walls and only one coffee table – choose any colors that you want and stick to them with a bit of color popping. The key here is the furniture; and choosing simple yet beautiful furniture will do the trick. If you play your cards right and choose minimalistic furniture, you can go crazy with the accessories and it can still look amazing. On the other hand, the bedding can help you tremendously in decorating your bedroom – so don’t underestimate the power of your battlefield!

Light is important

Being gay means having gay friends. Having gay friends means thousands and thousands of selfies in the living room or bedroom. Thousands of selfies means that you need to have good lighting! Natural light is always important, but unless you have plenty of big windows, you should invest in the lighting. However, it’s not only because of the naked selfies that you need good lighting for – this can make or break the whole atmosphere in the house. Good lighting can affect our mood, give a certain depth to the living space and affect the ambiance. This might be a bit more difficult to accomplish, but there are certain tips and tricks that can help you achieve just that.

Being single doesn’t mean that you don’t have to pay attention to the way your home looks. On the contrary, you should show that you are perfectly capable of living in a nicely decorated space even though you’re single. Mind the furniture, think about the accessories and the color and you’re good to go. This can also be a magnet for guys, so why not?!
