There is no day like today to pick up some tickets to some fantastic theatre, and kicking off the 2019 season is a newly remastered tour of the smash hit musical RENT. The 20th anniversary tour of Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award-winning show is back to give audiences in Canada a new season of love. RENT is the epitome of the 90’s rock musical, and its stories of queer love, AIDS/HIV, and struggling to Bea successful artist without selling out forever changed theatre. Based off of Puchini’s La Boheme, RENT was just featured in live musical format on Fox television and the 20th anniversary tour production will be waiting to take you out tonight.

Finding Neverland is the next hot show featured in the 2019/2020 Broadway Across Canada lineup. Based on the Academy Award-winning film of the same name starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, Finding Neverland is a sort of retelling of the classic Peter Pan story. Finding Neverlandis about Peter Pan’s original creator, the (at the time) struggling playwright J.M. Barrie and his desire to create a meaningful piece of art. When he meets a widow and her four young boys who are constantly fantasizing about make believe adventures, Barrie becomes inspired by this family, and thus: the beloved children’s character came to life. The musical mixes a little bit of pixie dust and a lot of magic to deliver an exciting theatre-going experience.
