Dark, dirty, and debauchery best describe MEAT XXL! The big opening party, MEAT XXL from at 99 Scott saw celeb DJ’s Nina Flowers, Cindel, and Leomeo keeping the city that never sleeps dancing its ass off until 6:00 Saturday morning. Pride Festival 2019 had two Saturday parties to wet your Pride weekend appetite. The annual infamous TeaDance at Pier 17 is the world’s biggest rooftop party, and the gays were out in full force. Featuring music by sexy DJ’s Dan Slater, Phil Romano, and Ava Max, the TeaDance came complete with a featured performance by drag queen gender bending legend Conchita Wurst.
The Main Event Saturday was at the Javits Center. The WE Party and Pride Festival 2019 joined forces to produce Magic Planet: a gay nightlife extravaganza! The incredible night set a new record in the United States, and with over 15,000 attendees, it became the largest gay night club event in US history! There was so much to see, do, and experience! Selfie-stations, massive quick-serve bars, gourmet food trucks, casual lounges, and activity centers were located throughout the gigantic space. Spanning almost the entire width of the venue were three giant digital screens that could be seen from any vantage point in the room, set above the elevated stage, which would host incredible DJ’s, performances and artists throughout the night. It was a non-stop parade of star-studded appearances by Bette Midler, Cindy Lauper, Billy Porter, STOMP!, Conchita Wurst, Brandon Pereyda from Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity, Chris Grant, Brandy, and Amanda Lepore! WE Party brought the LGBT community for a night of celebration, hope, and to re-ignite the spirit of the community. More photos from WE Party.
The best way to see New York City during Pride is on the Luv Boat. This fun and sexy booze cruise around Manhattan with a boat-load of gays was a fun time and fab way to watch the sunset go down over Manhattan, which included amazing views of the Empire State Building and One World lit up in rainbow colours, and an amazing fireworks show. DJ Danny Verde spun tunes for the 5-hour cruise.
The closing party, Xlsior Mykonos Midas Touch New York City, was one of the best closing parties in herstory!
