It’s not every day that we get an additional one on the calendar. But this year, just like four years prior, another 24 hour period is added to our date books, and February is blessed with a 29th spin around the sun.

What are you doing for Leap Year day? Celebrating with friends? Catching up on your chores or finishing your taxes? Screw that noise! Kick your feet up on this extra 366th day, and do whatever it is the hell that you want to do. We only get this bit of extra every four years, so make the most out of it and celebrate.

The Leap Year Leap is a nod to cocktails of old: traditional, classic recipes meant for gentlemen and ladies looking to kick back and relax. This leap year day, enjoy yourself with the Leap Year Leap: packing an extra day’s worth of greatness in every glass!

  • 2 oz cognac
  • 1 oz orange liqueur
  • ¾ oz lemon juice

Shake ingredients with ice. Strain into a sugar-rimmed rocks glass.
