This cocktail has a bit of a twist built into it – It starts out sweet but ends up tart. Right off the bat we all probably know someone that fits this description; think back to your last ex. Some people might be struggling to find the difference between this cocktail and the classic Lemon Drop. It’s true that they are similar, that is if you consider Pride Hoboken and NYC Pride to be similar. They are completely different experiences. The latter is a complete upgrade over the former.

The same holds true for the Lemon Meringue Pie cocktail vs the Lemon Drop. You just can’t compare them. You may mess up a few times trying to prepare this cocktail, but once you gain some proficiency at it, you will be able to impress and amaze all your friends without a doubt. The hardest part is going to be using the blow torch. Just remember, fire and alcohol can be wonderous when working together or disastrous, so be careful. Alternatively, you can either bake the meringue in the oven or buy pre-baked meringue at a specialty bakery. 

  • 2 oz Stoli Premium 
  • 2 tbsp lemon curd
  • ½ oz limoncello 
  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice 
  • Fresh meringue

Shake lemon curd, limencello, lemon juice, and Stoli Premium with ice. Strain into martini glass. Top with meringue. Carefully brown the edges of the meringue with a blow torch.
