Every respectable gay should be able to mix a mean margarita, and Cinco De Mayo is a perfect excuse to test your skills with a cocktail shaker. But whenever you’re feeling festive, this Cinco De Mayo Margarita will get the party started and put you in the mood to celebrate.

The mix of sharp citrus with a salty aftertaste is mouthwatering and so addictive. So, make sure you mix a large batch, because it’s a crowd pleaser and you will want refills.

Choosing whether to salt your rim may be a personal preference, but don’t knock it until you try it! When taking orders, be prepared for crass jokes and much innuendo. Also, don’t be surprised if this Cinco De Mayo Margarita leads to hip shaking and some wicked decisions.

Bottoms up!

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz orange liqueur
  • ½ oz simple syrup

Shake all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Strain into a salt-rimmed rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
