These days, everyone is excited about the prospect of travelling again. Those times are ahead, but for the meantime, we have to stay home. While you can’t travel, you can always start planning your next epic gaycation! These LGBT-friendly destinations should be on your bucket list of places to visit. They all offer unforgettable experiences and lots of fun, adventurous activities. More importantly, they are safe, breathtaking, vibrant, and welcoming.
These destinations have also been part of the HomoCuluture Tour over the last few years. They are destinations we’ve experienced, trust, and recommend.
San Francisco, California, USA
Sunshine, good vibes, and amazing sights. San Francisco ticks all the boxes to be a bucket list destination for gay men. With its magnificent skyline, mind-blowing architecture, warm people, and a variety of things to do, it’s the perfect place for your next gaycation. Enjoy the Folsom Street Fair, check out the lit gay bars, or visit iconic attractions like Alcatraz.
Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom
Wales is a must bucket list trip for gay men. A part of Great Britain, Wales is a unique country on its own right. Enjoy the idyllic countryside experience, step into history by touring the magnificent castles of yore, or visit the breathtaking oceanside towns. Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, hosts the Cardiff Pride with exciting activities in August.
New York City, New York, USA
NYC – It ain’t called the “Big Apple” for no reason. Welcome to America’s most prominent, and by far, the gayest city. Steeped in gay rights history, NYC caters to all tastes. Go to the Stonewall Inn – the cradle of the modern gay rights movement. Also, check out other historical gay sites as you witness the legacies of WorldPride. From walks in Times Square of Central Park to navigating the intricate city streets, New York City should be a bucket list trip for every gay man.
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
The city in the desert is a testament to resilience, tolerance, and diversity, the LGBT community’s very ethos. It’s one of the more popular destinations for LGBT tourism, with the city welcoming and encouraging LGBT weddings, tourism, among other activities. There are lots to do and experience, such as tours/gaycations in the MGM Resorts, the vibrant and ever-changing nightlife, and the annual Las Vegas Pride.
Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada
Located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, Kelowna is one of the most breathtaking destinations in North America. From the magnificent ski resorts in winter to the luxury golf and lakeside resorts and expansive wine country, Kelowna has it all. The city also hosts Kelowna Pride – a small yet vibrant pride thanks to the strong community engagement, and welcoming people.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Were you planning your next gaycation? Puerto Vallarta must be on your gaycation bucket list. It’s warm weather, with lots of sunshine, exquisite and expansive beaches, vibrant atmosphere, and welcoming people makes it the go-to place for adventurous gay men.
