Kim Petras has released a brand new single “Malibu,” a stunning blast of pure pop.“Malibu” is a glittering, sun-kissed bop with instrumental and raw vocals inspired by the silver screen, Baywatch fantasy of Malibu.

According to Kim, the new single is a “return to color, the feeling of being in love, and the escapism pop that I love the most.” She continues, “After “Clarity,” I had cried all my tears and moved on; this is a reflection of how I’ve been feeling. I just want “Malibu” to be a fizzy, refreshing drink that comes to you during this quarantine and makes you forget all your anxieties. I hope this can be a little vitamin shot that brightens your day.”

According to her, the song is going to make people feel like they are at the beach, even though people can’t go right now. It’s a song to make you forget about your problems, even for a few minutes.
