We haven’t been entirely free to think about the spring or summer trends this year, except for perhaps some pyjamas that we would rock while staying at home. Still, things are slowly changing, hopefully for the better, so now is a great time to think about all the nice clothes to buy and rock for the fall season. Of course, masks included.

Trends change throughout each year, and if we haven’t been active in following fashion in the last couple of months, it’s time to see what trends are popular at the moment and which ones will over-flood our city in the months to come. Some might say that we will be witnessing a completely new and unusual post-pandemic fashion. Others don’t think that the trends will change that much in the future. 2020 is already completely bonkers, so let’s just focus on the trends that all of us could pull off:

A dash of nostalgia

It’s true – we are all nostalgic for some old times (even for last year), so it’s perfectly natural that we will introduce this in our clothing. Nostalgic fashion is actually a form of escapism and our wish to go back to a more carefree time, even if it is using fashion. Nostalgic wear in the men’s department came with the return of different retro sports clothes, many of which were influenced by Netflix’s documentary Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance. Brands such as Reebok, Nike or Adidas have been creating clothes that remind us of the 90s or even 00s. On the plus side, this is a great trend that you can also combine with formal clothes – athleisure is still on, people, so why not use it?

Dapper never goes out of style

On the other hand, you don’t have to go sporty if you want to be fashionable this fall. Smart clothing is always the right choice, and a tailored suit never goes out of style. However, if you want to play this game a bit stronger, we suggest you go with nice accessories that will make your look really well put together. This always includes a good watch that matches your smart outfit and your personality, but this goes without saying. As far as other accessories are concerned, having a nice card holder wallet is a great option as all of us are probably very tired of carrying around massive wallets in our pockets. These will let you store your money and your cards and take almost zero space. Very fashionable indeed.

Layer it up

There’s no fall without jackets. This is also one piece of clothing that never goes out of style, and most importantly, it’s a great way to introduce layering to your clothing, which always looks nice. As far as jackets are concerned, you can never go wrong with a classic black leather jacket. Of course, since we are all trying to save the poor animals, you can go with faux leather as well – it doesn’t make you less fashionable. Parkas are also huge and can look amazing, especially if you’re rocking a casual style.

Is “homewear” the next big thing?

But honestly, all of our focus has been on good homewear. We have been encouraged to stay at home as often as we can, and now we understand all the perks of working from our home offices. That is why homewear has never been bigger, and we can finally have good clothes that we will wear while we’re sitting in our home offices.

Lightweight fabrics such as organic cotton or linen are trendy right now as they are incredibly comfortable and cozy, so choose anything that you will be able to wear both at home and when you go outside for a casual walk. Sweatpants and hoodies are also very much in demand right now, and is there anything cozier than a comfortable hoodie on a rainy fall afternoon?

If nothing, the pandemic taught us that it’s the small things in life that matter: the ability to hug your loved one without any reason, or take a cup of coffee and walk in the park. So, use these fashion trends and feel special, fashionable and happy at least for one season.
