Fear not, the Black Widow Cocktail is not venomous. In fact, it’s chock-full of a variety of refreshing flavors. Still, it’s an eerie drink and the perfect cocktail for Halloween.

This cocktail gets its name from its dark, almost menacing appearance. You can make it more dark and scary by garnishing it with some dry ice, giving it that smoky appearance. It mixes pretty easily so you can quickly get back to your guests.

As you celebrate a socially distanced Halloween, the Black Widow Cocktail may be just what you need to spice things up. It creates that deceptively dark, scary, and sinister look while serving up a surprisingly sweet and refreshing taste.

So, whether you want a cool and creative Halloween drink, or want to impress friends and guests with a spooky and refreshing drink at Halloween, or both, the Black Widow Cocktail is the perfect drink for you.

  • 1 ½ oz gin
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • 1 oz coconut water
  • ½ oz ginger cardamom syrup
  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 egg white

Combine ingredients into a cocktail shaker without ice. Shake for at least 200 shakes. Add ice to the shaker and shake again until chilled. Pour into a coupe glass. Using black icing (the same kind used for writing on a cake), draw four concentric circles, then drag a toothpick through the icing in lines, radiating outward from the center. Garnish with a plastic spider.
