There aren’t that many socially acceptable cocktails you can chug in the morning. The Bloody Mary is one of the exceptions. It has served as the go-to brunch cocktail and hangover cure for decades. Just what you need after a crazy night celebrating Pride this year.

Each year, our Stoli Pride cocktails celebrate a different colour on the rainbow flag.

The Blood Mary represents the red colour on the flag this year. A reminder of the blood shed by LGBTQ+ rights activists and advocates over the years. We celebrate their sacrifices, for we recognize the freedoms we enjoy today are a result of their struggles.

They raised and continue to raise their voices against hatred and discrimination. These heroes champion equality and equity in healthcare, education, housing, and employment for the LGBTQ+ community.

Red also symbolizes love and passion.

Love is love. It knows no boundaries, no race, no age or economic status. Love conquers all, holding the community together despite the constant barrage of discrimination.

Let this Bloody Mary be a call to action. Change only happens when we act. When we speak up and raise our voices against injustice wherever we see it.

Keep up the good fight!
