ABBA is one of the most successful pop groups of all time, and they are back with a revolutionary new concert. For the first time in 40 years, they will be on stage where we will see Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid performing with a digital ten-piece band. The concert is being held in London inside an arena that was built for the event on May 27, 2022. In addition, they are also launching a brand-new studio album!
The first studio album ABBA released was The Visitor, and that was 40 years ago, so to celebrate in style with their concert, they have recorded two new songs they will be performing called “I still have faith in you” and “Don’t shut me down.” Voyage, their new studio album, is being released by Capitol Records on November 5.
The ABBA Voyage concert will open at the ABBA Arena on May 27, 2022, with an impressive 3,000 capacity state-of-the-art arena at Queen Elizabeth Park in London. You can pre-register for your spot to see the show here, with registration beginning from 6 PM. General ticket sales will be available from Tuesday, September 7.
The band has been working with George Lucas’ studio for industrial light and magic effects like those used in Star Wars. Animated versions of ABBA will be touring from 2022 until 2026. Producers Svana Gisla and Ludvig Andersson are proud that the hard work towards creating the event has reached a milestone today. That is to be able to share the news of the concert with the world. They are anxiously awaiting the fans that will come to see the show they have been working so hard to create.
ABBA’s history of success is a great story of perseverance and excellent tunes. They have sold nearly 400 million albums worldwide and managed to have 17 no. 1 hits! Their streaming track record shows why the directors are so excited about the concert. They reached over 16 million weekly global streams online. They have managed to win the hearts of people worldwide.
Today ABBA is more popular than ever, and we see this by the success of ABBA gold recently passing its 1000 week on the UK album chart, the only album in recorded history to reach this long of a streak at number one. Their most popular song, “Dancing Queen,” was added to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2015.
ABBA have said that they took a break from music in 1982. They are ready to bring joy back into the lives of their loyal fans once again, so they recorded the follow up to visitors. They were inspired by the idea to create the strangest yet most spectacular concert they could invent. Like everyone involved in the concert’s production, ABBA is happy to sit back and enjoy the show of their digital selves alongside fans.
ABBA have sent words of love to all of their fans worldwide, but it was the gay community who helped them decide to make a full launch back into another album. The words they have decided to share with fans of any society are the following.
“Thank you for waiting – it’s time for a new journey to begin.”
After nearly four decades, it is about time that we have some new music that unites us all and brings joy. The show will be a spectacularly joyous moment that will connect everyone at the event. In a world where we are so divided, it is great to see that people will come together for the love of music produced by a band that has won people’s hearts everywhere.
