It’s getting colder each day as winter beckons. The pandemic isn’t letting up either, forcing more lockdowns and stay-at-home guidelines. Sucks being stuck in the house, but at least it’s warm. However, it can’t beat being surrounded by sweaty, drunk, warm-bodied, impossibly chiseled guys at the club. Argh, go away, Covid, we need our party back.

F**k that. If you can’t go to the proverbial mountain, then you must make it come to you. (Corrupted but works.). If you can’t have the club experience, create one at home and warm the cold, lonely season with some Apple Pie Bourbon Shots. This stuff is fire and will warm you up nicely, including your southern battleground regions that have probably not seen any action in a while.

With bourbon and lots of chopped apples, the Apple Pie Bourbon Shots will have you chanting all you want for Christmas long before the three wise men see the star. Bottoms up.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups bourbon

1 green apple, chopped

1 red apple, chopped

2 tsp sugar

½ tsp nutmeg

Fill a mason jar with all ingredients. Seal with a lid and let sit for 3-4 days. Strain mixture into shot glasses, discarding solids. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
