As the weather becomes cooler, the leaves start turning color, we turn back the clocks and slow down somewhat. Settling into the reflective season and looking at everything we have done over the year.

Boy, has this year surprised us, or what? From the pandemic to the cliff hanger election. It’s time to forget it all and indulge in the beautiful activities of the season. Top of the list, reconnecting with yourself, and rediscovering your hobbies. Chances are that with everything that has been going on, you may have neglected the good stuff opting instead for the endless doom scrolling.

Put the phone down for a change. Try painting. Fall is inspirational. Have you heard of Bob Ross? Google him and paint alongside. That stuff is calming. Get crafty too. Look around the house to see what you can DIY. Always wanted better shelves? Well, you’ve got all the time now.

Alternatively, tap into your creative side and relax as you make something for a change.

Have you tried knitting or crocheting? Scores swear by its relaxation. You get lost in the yarn and the patterns. You may even get to knit your cute Christmas sweater. While you are at it, we’ve got the perfect cocktail to calm your nerves – the Autumn Whisky Sour.

  • ½ oz cranberry simple syrup
  • ¾ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz orange juice
  • ½ oz lime juice
