The first thing that hits your nose is banana. It’s like a smell that makes your mouth start to water and your whole body wants to get up and walk away. It’s a smell that makes you feel like you want to scream with joy—you know what it feels like, because we’ve all done it before.

We’ve all screamed our heads off in a bar, or maybe we’ve just been really excited about something that happened at work. We’ve all felt this way more than once, and we can all relate to this smell in some way.

It’s just so different from any other smell in the world! There are no other smells like it anywhere else on Earth; there aren’t even any smells that come close. If you were stranded on an island with nothing but one bottle of rum, you wouldn’t be able to make this cocktail without having this scent around forevermore: it would just be too much of an experience for anyone else who didn’t already know what they were missing out on.

Ingredients

• 1 oz bourbon 
• 1 oz light rum 
• ½ oz crème de banane 
• Dash bitters 

Shake ingredients with ice. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a dehydrated orange slice.
