Mother of American stand-up comedian, television host and actress Ellen DeGeneres, Betty DeGeneres, proudly marched in the 2012 LA Pride Parade. Betty marched in the parade with her fellow PFLAG members. A human rights activist, Betty is the first non-gay spokesperson for the National Coming Out Project.

Better has been a passionate advocate of LGBT rights since her daughter, Ellen, came out in 1997.
