Gay country boys rejoice, as Bryan Ruby has recently released his six-song EP titled “Diamonds Are Forever”. This EP transcends genres, exploring adventure, love, and the pursuit of dreams. Each track radiates the raw emotion that has become Ruby’s signature.
He’s an openly gay professional baseball player and celebrated country music artist based in Nashville, Tennessee. At the age of 14, Ruby began to grasp his unique identity. However, like many of us, found himself compelled to conceal it within a society that often condemns those perceived as different. In September of 2021 Bryan Ruby became the lone active professional baseball player to openly come out as gay. Now, through his music, Ruby shares his powerful story of authenticity, resilience, and breaking societal barriers.
Bryan Ruby showcases his versatility as an artist, proving that his talents extend far beyond the baseball diamond. Each track feels like a unique chapter in the narrative of his experiences. The album introduces a range of emotions, from spirited rhythms in “Centerfield” to reflective tones in “Two For The Road.” The EP culminates in the heroic anthem “The Standouts,” featuring Ty Herndon in a special Heroes Version. Bryan Ruby invites listeners into a rich tapestry of experiences, exploring life’s diverse themes through the lens of his melodies. The track list is as follows:
- Left Field
- Baseball Country
- Diamonds Are Forever

Swiftly following this release, Ruby treats fans to a heartwarming Christmas single, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Co-written with David Ross and Chad Sellers, this holiday track promises to pull your heartstrings. It’s bringing warmth to even the coldest winter nights.
To celebrate the holiday season, Bryan Ruby embarks on the “A Songwriter’s Christmas” tour, joining fellow Nashville songwriters Jay Bragg and Brontë Fall. This festive tour will spread the spirit of the holidays while making stops in Nashville, New York, Portland, and Boston/Somerville.
More than just a musical celebration, the tour aims to give back to the community. Proceeds from the tour will benefit music education for charity. Each city on the tour presents a unique opportunity for fans to contribute to this noble cause. It will be supporting W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville and The Gift of Music project.
