Tis’ the season to get spooky. Oh, wait, a socially distanced Halloween. While the pandemic has robbed us of so many fun times this year, we must not yield happiness. If you can go out and party with friends, it’s high time the party came to you.

Want to rock this socially distanced Halloween? The candy corn shots may be just what you need. It’s a fun drink to love, a special seasonal treat that evokes the Halloween spirit.

Celebrate safely this Halloween- Saturday night, season changes, and even a full moon all during a global health pandemic. You almost vampires and werewolves creep out of the woods. Regardless, stay safe. Stick to your social circles, avoid bars and clubs; instead, bring together your small group of close friends for a Halloween gathering and serve up some fierce cocktails.

The Candy Corn Shots does require some planning, but they are worth every drop. Enjoy responsibly.

  • 1 box orange Jell-O
  • 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 7 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup Stoli Vanil
  • Yellow food coloring

Pour 1 cup of water into a small saucepan and add two packets of unflavored gelatin. Warm over low heat, stirring occasionally. After 5 minutes, remove from heat and add condensed milk. Add 2/3 cup Stoli Vanil. Stir. Evenly distribute half the mixture to 20 plastic shot glasses. Reserve the other half of the gelatin in the saucepan for the final layer. Refrigerate shots for 30-40 minutes, until firm.

Pour another cup of water into a clean saucepan. Add 1 packet of gelatin. Warm over low heat. Remove from heat and add orange Jell-O. Add 1/3 cup Stoli Vanil. Stir. Evenly distribute over the white layer. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes.

Using the second half of the original gelatin mixture, reserved earlier, add yellow food coloring. Stir. If it has already started to set, warm in the microwave for a few moments. Pour the yellow gelatin on top of the orange. Return the shots to the refrigerator overnight.

Serve with a piece of candy corn on top.
