Looking for creative ways to spice up your stay-or-work-at-home situation? Let’s face it; the pandemic has forced most people into an uncomfortable love affair with their homes.
One way out of the boredom; try your hand in the kitchen and sample different recipes. This week’s cocktail, the caramel Irish coffee, should give you a nice small challenge and delightful satisfaction when you’re done.
The cocktail is an insanely thick, creamy and delicious drink, a twist on the famous Irish coffee. You can easily make it at home. Furthermore, it makes for a refreshing after-dinner drink with your partner or small bubble of friends.
To keep the cocktail warm for longer, preheat your serving glass with warm water or in the microwave. For the best results and taste, use freshly brewed coffee; it adds pop to the drink.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Irish whiskey
- 1 oz Irish cream
- 1 oz butterscotch schnapps
- 2 ½ oz coffee
Warm an Irish coffee glass. Pour all of the liquors into the mug. Fill with coffee, then stir. Top with whipped cream and then drizzle with caramel syrup.
