Canucks—shantay you stay… because Drag Race is coming to Canada! You heard that right. The best reality television competition it’s making its gay way to Canada! Based on the classic American version, RuPaul’s Drag Race will premiere a Canadian version of the hit show soon: Drag Race Canada.

RuPaul’s Drag Race has evolved from a quirky queer reality competition show to full on cult following phenomenon. Drag Race is watched by gays, straights, queers, and allies around the globe and has helped brand names out of participants including:

Alaska, Bianca Del Rio, Valentina, Raja, Jinx Monsoon, Delta Werk, Latrisse Royale, Sasha Velour, and more. Famous drag queens like Willam, Detox, Pandora Boxx, Courtney Act, and Chad Michaels have all made legendary contestants on Drag Race.

Now Canada has the chance to show the world the amazing drag queen talent and auditions are happening now for the super fierce Canadian spin off: Drag Race Canada. Fresh off the heels of the first Canadian contestant Brooke Lynn Hytes’ second place finish in the American version, Canada is thrilled to be on the hunt for Canada’s next drag superstar, hunty!

Drag Race Canada will be airing on OUTtv and streamed on Crave. While this Canadian version of the hit show will not have RuPaul as host, the show is promised to be a similar format to the American version—with some fabulous Canadian twists, of course! Winners receive $100,000 and the first Canadian crown in Drag Race herstory!
