Kelowna Pride Trans March & Social: Okanagan Pride kicks off on Thursday, June 20, 2019, with the Kelowna Pride Trans March & Social. The annual event is an open gathering and celebration of trans people and their allies. The event start with a muster at the Kelowna Sails on Bernard Street where guests speaks and poetry reads will happen, and then the transgender community will proudly walk the march to the Laurel Packinghouse. Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar: On Friday, June 21, from 7:00pm – 2:00am there will be the return of the highly anticipate 8th Annual Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar. Everyone loves a good drag show at Pride, and you can watch as local queens vie for the crown and the title of Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar. Local drag legend Sparkle, the first winner of Okanagan Pride’s annual drag competition, will be the mistress of ceremonies and hostess. Two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant and Miss Congeniality winner Cynthia Lee Fontaine is the celebrity judge for Kelowna’s next Drag Superstar. Known as one of the standouts of Drag Race seasons 8 and 9, Cynthia Lee Fontaine will bring her smarts, wit, and drag expertise to the judge’s panel. Tickets are on sale now.

Kelowna Pride March: Join the gathering at Stuart Park at 11:00am on Saturday, June 22 on the Lake Okanagan waterfront as local dignitaries welcome the LGBTQ+ community in celebrating Kelowna Pride. Following the ceremonies, the group will proceed with a march to Kelowna City Park to the Kelowna Pride Festival. Bring your Pride flags and banners, and wear your festive Pride outfits. Kelowna Pride Festival: Celebrating community, love, equality, and inclusivity, the entire community is welcome to join in the festivities on Saturday, June 22 from 11:00am – 4:00pm at Kelowna City Park in downtown Kelowna. This event is open to the public and is for all ages. Local businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and sponsors will be set-up showcasing their products and services, along with a bouncy castle and games for the kids. The main stage will have live music throughout the day, with feature headline act, Queer As Funk. This is a free event. More information.

Pride Cruise – Moist: Held on Saturday, June 22 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm (boarding 5:15pm), the Pride Cruise is a 80+ person licensed bar cruise around the beautiful lake Okanagan on one of the longest days of the year. With music by DJ Decanus, the Moist Pride Cruise is hosted by Freida Whales with performances by Ginger Snap Official and Ella Lamoureux. This is a booze cruise under the sun, on a stunning lake, that also features a limbo contest for a free paddle board. FruitCake: The official Pride after party, FruitCake is returning Saturday, June 22 to the club previously known as Level and taking over the 3rd floor. DJ Skylar Love (Vancouver) will lay down the beats for this annual Pride Party. This event has limited capacity and will sell out. It is recommended to purchase advance tickets ($25++). 80% of tickets will be sold online and the remainder at the door. Doors open at 10:00pm. Entrance is in the back alley behind Level A.
