Vancouver Pride is just a few weeks away and it’s time to start making plans for the busy weekend of social get togethers, events, and parties. The biggest day of events is Sunday, August 4, with the annual Pride Parade, attracting over 250,000 people, followed by the Pride Festival at Sunset Beach.
Throughout the weekend there are many great events from pool parties to theme nights at local bars. The pinnacle event wrapping up the entire weekend is the TFD Presents circuit party, Victory, at the Commodore Ballroom.
Victory is the signature wrap-up event attracting hundreds of party goers who will be dancing to the beats of one of Canada’s favourite gay DJ’s, Adam Dreaddy, who is originally from Vancouver, and headlining DJ, Danny Verde.
This year’s theme is Wizard of Oz, so slip on your ruby slippers and skip down the yellow brick road! There will be amazing performances throughout the night by Shokra, Morgan McMichael’s, and Cassandra.
Doors open at 10:00pm, and with Monday’s holiday, this party will go late into the night! Tickets start at $50 each and are available online and at Vancouver’s Priape store on Davie Street.
