If you love LGBT programming and are just hungry for a new show to binge watch, check out a fun original queer series on Amazon this spring. Now premiering on Amazon, After Forever, a new series, is a fabulous LGBT web series that is perfect for the ever-so-popular habit of ‘binge-watching’.
A tragic story about love, loss and new beginnings, After Forever stars Kevin Spirtas (Days of Our Lives) and Mitchell Anderson (Doogie Howser, Party of Five, The Karen Carpenter Story). With a well-written plot and story that will move you to tears, After Forever will have you rolling with laughter and tearing up with sorrow and joy. About a mid 50s gay couple living in New York, Brian and Jason, After Forever is a touching and funny romantic tale that is uniquely hysterical and heartbreaking at the same time.
After Forever Season One was directed by Emmy Award winner Jennifer Pepperman and co-created by Emmy-nominated television writer, playwright Michael Slade and Kevin Spirtas. After Forever is a new short-form internet series that chronicles the lives and friends of Jason and Brian, a couple that seemingly has everything until—until they don’t—and Brian’s world is forever changed.
After Forever stars Emmy-nominated Kevin Spirtas (Days of Our Lives, Friday the 13th/Part VII) as Brian and Mitchell Anderson (Doogie Howser, Part of Five), as Jason. It features Tony Award winner Cady Huffman (The Producers), Drama Desk Award winner Michael Urie (Ugly Betty, Buyer and Cellar), Broadway, film and television star Anita Gillette (Moonstruck), David Dean Bottrell (Boston Legal), Jim Newman (The Village People), Finn Douglas (House of Cards), Robert Emmet Lunney (The Exorcist TV Series), and Colleen Zenk (As the World Turns).
A nearly realistic portrayal of what it’s like to be a middle-aged gay couple and the life and times of middle-aged gay man, After Forever is the perfect gay series to power through, even in one setting. Each episode of After Forever averages 11 minutes each, so barreling through the entire first series can be done by viewers in about 90 minutes. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and After Forever will make you realize that you can still have a happily ever after—even after what could be deemed as the worst possible thing happening to you.
