The Pink Lady is a classic cocktail that has seen a resurgence lately. It may look mild, but don’t be fooled; it packs a punch. You can serve it on almost any occasion, whether you’re hosting a small gathering of friends or settling down for a date night with your partner.
This gin-based cocktail has a long, rich history. Its pink colour comes from one of the ingredients – grenadine – a non-alcoholic syrup with tart and sweet flavours.
In addition to the egg whites, some people give the cocktail an indulgent twist with a dollop of heavy cream. Either way, the classic Pink Lady is bound to refresh and lift your spirits.
Ingredients
- 2 oz gin
- 2 tsp grenadine
- 1 large egg white
Shake gin, grenadine, and egg white over ice. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and maraschino cherries.
