In June 2019 New York City will be on the world stage at they host World Pride 2019 and recognize the 50thanniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Queer people from around the world will be flocking to the Big Apple for the biggest Pride event ever hosted. While there are plenty of celebrations, activities, and events planned, the biggest music festival in history is not to be missed: Pride Festival 2019. Held June 27-29, the weekend will be feature five signature events.
Held one day and 50 years after the start of the Stonewall riots in 1969, Pride Festival 2019 main event will be a celebration with memories lasting a lifetime. Often credited as the beginning of the modern-day gay rights movement, the riots outside the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, New York on June 28th, 1969 ignited a flame for a desire by queer people to be treated equal. They soon thereafter had the first pride parade, and thus, gay pride began.
New York City’s leading gay party producer, Jake Resnicow, is planning the biggest Pride music festival in history, Pride Festival 2019. Jake Resnicow is known throughout NYC for his amazing events like M.E.A.T., U-NITE and RHYTHM NA- TION. In 2010, he brought the international Matinee party to the USA and has since established music festivals in Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and south Florida.

“The 50th anniversary of Stonewall will bring millions of people from all over the world to New York this Pride,” explains Jake Resnicow, event producer, who was recently named ‘Most Influential Person of the Year’ by Out Magazine. “This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate our progress while working towards a better future. It will allow everyone to come together on one dance floor, in the city that started it all.”

The highlight event of Pride Festival 2019 is the WE Party Pride Festival, which will bring the entire LGBT community under one spectacular roof and on one enormous dance floor at New York’s largest and most prestigious venue, the Jacob Javits Center. Producers have joined forces with WE party who throws Madrid’s WorldPride events. Steve Lieberman, who designs productions for Coachella, Electric Daisy Festival, and more will be the head of the production, with sound provided by Ja-son Ojeda. Located in the heart of Manhattan, the Jacob Javits Center is a mammoth 1,800,000 square feet, covering the entire city blocks between 34th and 40th Streets, 11th and 12th Avenues. It offers, by far, the largest capacity of all Pride venues.
The MEAT will return Friday, June 28th. Saturday, June 29thwill be the Tea Dance on the world’s biggest rooftop. Saturday’s main event, the WE Party, will be at the Javits center. Experience a sunset cruise around the isle of Manhattan with the Luvboat. And finally: enjoy a taste of the Greek Isles with Xlsior Mykonos taking over New York City!
