The Resolution - a non-alcoholic drink option to help you keep your New Year's resolutions Happy New Year and welcome to 2015! If you’re like most people, chances are you have a list of things on your New Year resolution list that you are excited to kick-off, to get to a better you. For most people that list typically includes a lot of goals to eat healthier, drink less, exercise more, put more money into retirement savings, and things of that nature.

If you’re counting calories, trying to lose weight, cut the fat, drink less alcohol, or are on a special diet, finding alternative drink choices can be tough, especially if you’re going out for a night on the town with friends. A simple way to stay true to your goals is by sipping on drinks that look and feel like cocktails. You don’t have to drink just plain old water. Ask the bartender for The Resolution, a glass of ice and soda water, packed with fresh fruit, found in any bartenders garnish tray. The bubbles from the soda served in a Colin’s glass make it look and feel like an alcoholic beverage. Best of all, if you don’t want your friends to know you aren’t drinking for the month, you can always just tell them that you are drinking a vodka soda; but just make sure they don’t start buying you drinks and accidentally get served vodka.

Other non-alcoholic drink options are juice with club side, like a cranberry and soda, with a fresh squeeze of lime, or fresh strawberries and blueberries, muddled, served with pomegranate juice and soda water.

Go ahead. Stick to your diet and still go out and have fun with friends, guilt free!
