Sip on this: did you know that Santa’s reindeer were in likely female and part of the Svalbard sub-species? It’s true. The Svalbard are the smallest of the reindeer species, being almost a foot shorter in length and almost half the weight of the average species. In all depictions of Santa’s reindeer they are shown to have antlers. Older, male reindeer loose their antlers every December, which means that Santa’s reindeer must either be juveniles, which regrow their antlers throughout the year, or female. One final fun fact, reindeer are the same species as caribou!

- 2 oz Stoli Sticki Vodka
- ½ oz Crème de Cassis
- 3 oz Cranberry Juice
Place all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a sugar-rimmed martini glass. Garnish with a few fresh cranberries and a sprig of fresh mint.
