This spring just got a bit more fabulous as the gayest show on two heals has announced it is hitting the road this May. RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq The World Tour 2017 will be appearing in venues across Europe and North America. With an all-star line-up in some amazing locations, The Werq the World tour is sure to be sinfully sensational.
Produced by OUTtv Europe, known for its diverse programming, including airing both Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag U, along with Say What Entertainment, and Voss Events, known for producing events with Cher and Lady Gaga, RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq the World Tour 2017 will feature amazingly talented queens camping it up bigger and better than ever.
Joined by the current Drag Race cast of season 9, the Werq the World 2017 Tour will be hosted by none other than the famous alumni, Bianca del Rio, and Drag Race judge, clinician, and drag mom, Michelle Visage. This live stage show will showcase sickening entertainment from some of the hottest contestants to ever be on the show, including: Alaska Thunderfuck, Detox, Violet Chachki, Alyssa Edwards, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, and of course, Shangela. Confirmed season 9 queens are Peppermint, Trinity Taylor, Aja, and Shea Coulee.
“We’re calling this the ‘Werq the World’ tour because that’s exactly what these Drag Race stars will be doing for fans: Werqing like they’ve never Werq’d it before!” says Shangela. “This is the most outrageous and talented collection of queens that have ever toured together.”
“The show is a collaborative effort between some of the biggest personalities to come through RuPaul’s Drag Race,” said Brandon Voss, head producer of Voss Events “It’s incredible to see this multi-talented cast of new girls and veterans coming together on some unbelievably creative numbers. It’s been a year since the last world tour, and these queens are coming with fierce new looks, never-before-seen theatrics and over the top production numbers that will leave fans gagging.”
Starting in Toronto, Montreal, and New York, the queens will set sail across the ponds for shows in London, Dublin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Berlin, to name a few stops along their way. Beginning May 26th, RuPaul’s Drag Race Werq the World 2017 Tour will be serving the tea, sashaying down the runway, and thrilling audience with camp, humor, love, and outrageousness.
